Presentation Description: Ashod Mooradian, a legal ethics and State Bar matter expert with significant experience in analyzing AI proper use in the daily practice of law will present this timely MCLE called, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Legal Ethics.” This presentation will discuss the issues of concern that arise when a California attorney uses AI in their daily practise of law. Also, it will cover the recently issues AI Guidelines form the State Bar’s ethics committee COPRAC and the MIT AI Guidelines. Finally, the presentation will conclude by analyzing examples of real cases where AI use has gone badly for the attorney involved and examples from existing AI platforms and software to provide practical examples of how to avoid committing ethical misconduct when using AI.
